Parent Advocates for Learning Support
Who We Are
A newly formed, not for profit support group that consists of parents, caregivers and educators.
What We Do
We provide support and information to parents of children of all ages that may have educational, physical, mental, or behavioral challenges.
What We Believe – Our Mission Statement
The Parent Advocates for Learning Support for Fox Chapel is a group of Fox Chapel parents concerned about our children’s learning differences and their progress through the school system. We come together for mutual support, education and skill development. We realize our importance as part of our children’s growth. Our goal is to form collaborative partnerships with our children’s educators.
Our membership includes parents of children with a variety of mental or physical concerns including, but not limited to: Learning Disability, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Dyslexia, Epilepsy, Language Disorder, and other academic, social, emotional or physical challenges. Many parents of children in the mainstream classroom or those receiving help through the Instructional Support Team (IST) Process also need support and information to assist in their children’s education. We strive to respect confidentiality.
